Description and theory

Fmadd2 can be seen as an F minor triad with an added second (G) and is comparable to Fmadd9. It is usually played as a barre chord, but it can also be played as a movable shape.

Chord structure

The chord consists of four notes. The notes represent the root, second, minor third and perfect fifth intervals. Notice that the fifth sometimes can be omitted.

Chord name

Fmadd2 is an abbreviation for F minor added second. A less common abbreviation is Fmin add2.
