E chords

E is generally preferred over its enharmonic counterpart Fb in practical music notation.

Although Fb major is theoretically valid, it is rarely used because it introduces awkward spellings such as Cb and Fb in places where musicians more naturally expect B and E. As a result, E and Em are far more common than Fb and Fbm in everyday music notation.
