Although its enharmonic equivalents Fx (F double sharp) or Abb are theoretically valid in certain advanced harmonic situations, they are rarely used as chord roots because musicians more naturally expect G. As a result, G and Gm are far more common than Fx, Fxm, Abb or Abbm in everyday music notation.
