Guitar-chord.org is a guitar site with information about chords primarily.

A large number of chords are presented across many categories, including both common and uncommon chords.

The goal is to bring more than just diagrams of chords. By also giving tips about how and when the chords can be used properly could help guitarist to become more complete musicians. Therefore, "Chords put in context" is the motto for this site.

2026 update: new chart design and expanding chord collection

In 2026, the charts have been updates with a new design: larger size and fingerings included (the number 1-4) to increase the information. The new versions lack the numbers above to indicate fret numbers, but instead "3fr" and similar is shown at the left of the grid when the nut is not visible. Below the old and new look can be seen (some of the old chart will remain on the site, especially at pages with collection of chords of same chord types).

 

Also, several new chords are presented on separate pages. Once again, this will expand the information and hopefully better satisfied visitors that prefer a lot of details. Feedback are appreciated.
