Eaug is usually played as one of the possible movable shapes depending on the most fitting position on the fretboard. It can also be played as an open chord.
Shown in the Fingerings diagram is a movable shape played on the four middle strings with a partial barre formed by the index finger.
As shown in Notes diagram, the chord contains three distinct notes with root (E) doubling.
Notice that the diagram starts at the 5th fret rather than the 1st fret, with the root on the 7th fret.
