Description and theory

Dbmadd2 is equivalent to C sharp minor added 2nd. Dbmadd2 can be seen as a Db minor triad with an added second (Eb) and is comparable to Dbmadd9. It is usually played as a barre chord or movable shape (although the pictured barre shape doesn't give much room for the fingers).

Chord structure

The chord consists of four notes. The notes represent the root, second, minor third and perfect fifth intervals. Notice that the fifth sometimes can be omitted.

Chord name

Dbmadd2 is an abbreviation for D flat minor added second. A less common abbreviation is Dbmin add2.
