Description and theory

A#add9 is equivalent to B flat added 9th. A#add9 can be seen as a A# triad with an added ninth (C) and is comparable to A#add2. It is usually played as one of the possible movable shapes.

Chord structure

The chord consists of four notes. The notes represent the root, major third, perfect fifth and major ninth intervals. Notice that the seventh isn't included and also that the fifth sometimes can be omitted.
