The chord consists of six notes. The notes represent the root, major third, perfect fifth, minor seventh, major ninth and perfect eleventh intervals. Notice that the third, fifth and/or the ninth are sometimes omitted.
A11 is an abbreviation for A dominant eleventh. A less common abbreviation is Adom11.
