Description and theory

Ebmadd2 is equivalent to D sharp minor added 2nd. Ebmadd2 can be seen as a Eb minor triad with an added second (F) and is comparable to Ebmadd9. It is usually played as a barre chord or movable shape.

Chord structure

The chord consists of four notes. The notes represent the root, second, minor third and perfect fifth intervals. Notice that the fifth sometimes can be omitted.

Ebmadd2 is an abbreviation for E flat minor added second. A less common abbreviation is Ebmin add2.
