Description and theory

Ebadd9 is equivalent to D sharp added 9th. Ebadd9 can be seen as an Eb triad with an added ninth (F) and is comparable to Ebadd2. It is usually played as one of the possible movable shapes.

The chord consists of four notes. The notes represent the root, major third, perfect fifth and major ninth intervals. Notice that the seventh isn't included and also that the fifth sometimes can be omitted.
