Chord training – lesson 1

Logo and guitar in the backgroundThe lesson involves a chord change where one of the fingers shouldn't be lifted, acting as a pivot. The second exercise include another chord in which to fingers are moved grouped whereas one finger shouldn't be lifted.

Pivot finger - first part of exercise

The task: don't lift the middle (2) finger. Tip: pressing down the middle finger when shifting from the Fmaj7 to Dm will help you succeed.

Second part of exercise

The task: don't lift the index (1) finger in the first change and for the second change see instructions above. Tip: think of the 2 and 3 fingers as a unit in the first change that should be lifted and moved together.
